Identify the sock is the game of the day. Yes, I am a freak, I know this.
I have two different styles of socks that have this gold line across the toe, but I have no idea what brand they are or where I bought them. All I know is they are the best socks I've ever owned. I checked my regular haunts to no avail (target, walmart, macy's), but fear perhaps they were purchased on a trip back home (georgia).
Not to be confused with "gold toe" brand socks.... This is where all you lurkers who read my site but never comment come in. Identify the sock and get a free Incredibles DVD!!!
The particular selection of the day is a woman's white crew sock, cushioned (thicker on the bottom), with a tightening around the arch:

I think I got a pack of socks like those at Sears a few years ago.
Posted by: rotomonkey at February 28, 2005 11:47 AMThey remind me of socks I've gotten at sporting goods stores, rather cheap but nicely padded on the bottoms... ever bought socks at one of the local sporting goods stores?
Posted by: Steve at February 28, 2005 05:27 PMI found them! The dvd bribe worked! They WERE at target - apparently the crappy target I went to doesn't carry them, but the new uber target at albany... rocks :)
Yeah! Socks! I'm happy!
Posted by: susan at February 28, 2005 10:32 PMSpeaking of "the crappy target" - that's the only Target I've ever been to in my life. Is that one fairly typical of Targets? Because I must say, I was underwhelmed by the experience. The shopping cart escalator was the only cool thing about it. What makes a Target an uber-Target?
Other readers: really, Susan and I have much more scintillating conversations. ;-)
Posted by: Julian at March 1, 2005 07:28 PMI can't believe that I ran across your "site" when I too have been looking [in vain] for those same socks!
I'm so glad you found them. I thought I had looked at Target but maybe not.
I, also, think they are the best socks I've ever owned.
I was beginning to wonder if I was the only person in the world that had them.
Thank you!!!
I'll check all the Targets in the area now.
