About to leave for the airport for a week in San Diego... I
apologize for being slow in responding to email lately, but getting ready
for siggraph does tend to kind of suck up your free time :)
A
weird series of unrelated things that have happened:
1. Email from a guy in high school that had a crush on me. This is utterly strange, weird,
stands to destory my entire persona. My inner dork is threatened. People in high school did
*not* have crushed on me! Don't worry, he's married, I'm dating someone.
2. Dating someone. For a time I was speaking to two folks I met or got to know online. One
faded away (restoring my inner dork), the other I didn't actually meet meet online, we are just
addicted to chatting.
3. Saw my surgeon. my ROM on the non-operated leg is worse than the
operated leg. Surgery will happen at some point, but I'm waiting 'til it hurts. I figure
that gives me a couple of years ;)
4. Did you know Merrick Bank is the worse credit card company in the world? I had a credit
card that went under and Merrick Bank picked up those accounts. They started charging a
$120/annual fee. Because this card was an 'emergency' card, I wasn't opening the statements,
so I didn't even know. Finally, I figure it out and cancel it, paying a large sum of money for
having had the card grace the insides of my wallet... and yet, it won't die. I keep getting
bills for amounts paid back in April! Ugh. Avoid this one like the plague.
Ever feel that you've shared too much with someone? I feel that way right now, but
yet it's working. I've become rather attached to someone... gone are awkward pauses, hello
long conversations. I'm insane, a little bit at least.
