How do you blog siggraph? Overall, it was pretty good

it seemed even smaller than San Antonio, although I am sure it is not
true. I have nominations in my head for the worst paper and worst sketch,
but I wouldn't dare put that online. The hair paper was probably the most
intriguing to me :) And it seemed like a 'trivial' extension to the
shader pixar currently uses...

What else... the user's group meeting went well, I kind of bailed on my
reunion :( for UNC -- it was 9 pm and I hadn't eaten all day and was in
desperate need of food instead. I get really nauseous if I wait that
long to eat.

I spent most of my free time with Julian or Anne... saw the Zoo, Seaworld,
and Coronado. I really enjoyed my time with Julian, and hope to visit
him in Seattle soon. My legs are so dead after all the walking this
week! Thankfully every geek feels that way
at the end of the week, not just me (ie. everyone feels that way, it's not
just my surgery/my hips ;)). I kind of feel in love with San Diego - the
climate, the lower cost housing (comparatively), the abundance of
parking... but alas, I am back home in Oakland.
